The mission of the Center for Environmental and Rural Health (CERH) is to integrate outstanding basic, applied and clinical research in an effort to reduce negative impacts of environmental hazards on human health.
Membership in the CERH is open to anyone who meets the qualifications listed below and agrees to actively support the mission of the Center.
Qualifications for CERH Full Member Status
An individual must meet all of the following requirements to
become a Full Member of the CERH:
1) Faculty
status within the Texas A&M University System.
2) Research interests in environmental and rural health.
3) Externally funded research programs relevant to the mission
of the CERH.
4) Evidence of strong collaborative research with other faculty
associated with the CERH.
5) Interest in further developing new collaborative research
initiatives focused on issues of environmental and rural
health.
Qualifications for CERH Associate Member Status
An individual must meet the following requirements to become an
Associate Member of the CERH:
1) Faculty
status within the Texas A&M University system.
2) Research interests in environmental and rural health.
3) Ongoing or developing research activity with one or more
full members of the CERH.
Qualifications for CERH Affiliate Member Status
An individual must meet the following requirements to become an
Affiliate Member of the CERH:
1) Faculty
status outside of the Texas A&M University system.
2) Ongoing collaborations in some area of environmental and
rural health with one or more full members of the CERH.
To become a member of the CERH, please submit the following:
1)
Letter of nomination from a Full Member of the CERH and a letter
from the applicant describing
how the applicant satisfies each of the qualifications for
Center membership.
2) Updated Curriculum Vitae listing grants and relevant
publications.
